Honey Garlic Chicken


This Honey Garlic Chicken recipe is so easy to prepare and became a favorite of mine IMMEDIATELY!! Made with chicken breasts and a three ingredient honey garlic sauce. Can be served over rice or with a side of vegetable. If you want to be real fancy, add cut up broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, carrots or peas for honey garlic chicken stir fry.

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 17 minutes


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • salt, black pepper, and garlic powder

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • Whisk together honey, light soy sauce, and olive oil in a small bowl. Set aside for later.

Honey Garlic Chicken

  • Cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts into pieces. Sprinkle with a little Season All salt, and garlic powder ( or any seasoning you normally use)

  • Put the chicken pieces in a gallon sized plastic bag. Add the flour, close the top of the bag, and shake the chicken to coat it evenly with flour.

  • Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the flour coated chicken. Cook for about three minutes, flip the pieces over and cook for another three minutes.

  • Add the minced garlic, stir and cook for two minutes.

  • Turn the heat down to medium. Add the honey garlic sauce. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.

  • Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds



This can be served over rice, but for dinner, I personally don't like to have carbs because my body doesn't respond well. But if you don't have this problem, please feel free to add rice.


Or you can always add more vegetables. Pictured below with a bed of Spinach if you feel you need something more filling, but still don't want to have carbs.
